Lisa's Transformation
Okay, you have been asking me for the before and after photos - so here they are. The first photo was taken on February 15, 2007 (about one month into the process). I officially started training on January 2, 2007. I was not too thrilled that I started at 141 lbs. and 25.67% body fat - one year of marriage made me fat and happy!! This was quite a wake up call for me. By the time I took this photo, I was already down to 132 lbs. and 19.5% BF. So you can only imagine - uggh.
Here I am one week before the competition, trying on my new 2-piece posing suit. Was having a bad hair day so I kept on the cap!! When you are training twice a day, you don't get much time to clean up. Here I am at Gold's Gym to meet with Tamer & Zhanna for some posing coaching - thanks a million to both of them for their time.

Finally made it to competition day!!! Not too bad for my first show. My final stats were as follows: 109lbs., 10.8% BF and total loss of 15% BF from January 2nd through April 28th. I was very happy with how I looked and where I came in at. I based my training on the pro girls. However, the judges were definitely judging much softer. Politics!
Anyway, I am very happy that I placed fourth in the Masters (age 35-44), and placed 7th out of 15 in the Open (ages 18 on up). Of course, I expected to place higher, and the feedback that we got was that I got robbed - should have placed
at least 3rd if not 2nd in Masters. Oh well - it was my first competition.
So, that is why I have decided to compete again this weekend - May 26th at the Cal State Competition in Los Angeles. Need to be in front of the judges again, before my big competition in July.
Stay tuned, for more photos and updates on my progress.
Lisa
