Lucho & Lisa's Cross-Country Adventure

After taking the midnight flight out of LAX, we arrive in Ft. Myers, FL at 1:00 p.m. the next day (got held up in Houston). Lisa's brother and his wife (Dave & Dawn) picked us up and we drove straight to our house. Without waisting a moment we started packing up and had the whole 3 bed, 2 bath home packed up in an astonishing 4.5 hours!!
Here is Lucho and Dave wrapping the furniture in plastic - Lucho's FAVORITE!
This couch set is going to our other in-laws (see next blog post), and we gave Dave & Dawn one of the dining room sets which was perfect for their house! Thanks to Dave & Dawn for all of their help - we kicked butt and kept it moving - and sweated a good 5 lbs off of everyone! - VERY HOT & HUMID! Ugggg!
Here's Lisa inside the truck - had to be 110 degrees in there!
This is it! The adventure begins. We are pulling away from Dave's house in our 26' big rig. The truck did great, stayed cool and even had a CD player.

Halfway Point - San Antonio, TX

We arrived in San Antonio, TX - during Rush Hour traffic and a blinding rain storm. By the time we made it to Lucho's brother and sister-in-laws house (Sergio & Graciela - who run the San Antonio Adventure Boot Camp), we were ready for a nice glass of wine. Although we were exhausted, we found the energy to go out for a wonderful, and much needed, sushi dinner! yyummmm.

MOVE #2 - Next day we proceeded to completely unload the truck to give Sergio & Graciela one of the couch sets that we didn't need - of course, it was all the way in the back of the truck!

To say that it was HOT & HUMID was an understatement. Here is Lucho trying to dry off his soaking wet shirt!
WE FINALLY ARRIVED in Rancho Santa Margarita, CA after driving a straight 24 hours no sleep! Here we are pulling up to the front of our office to unload half the furniture (MOVE #3) - the rest goes to our house and storage there (MOVE #4). We finally fall into bed by 9:00 p.m. and sleep a good 10 hours!

Our great cross-country adventure is complete.

Group Shot Junior Cal 2007

Actually, I am just adding this to the photos from the post below. This is one of the "call-outs" for the Masters class (ages 35-44). Not too bad - I turned 45 on July 8th (just 2 weeks after this photo).

Competition #3

The JUNIOR CAL's 2007 - June 23rd
I am getting in my stage experience and being seen by the judges. This show was alot of fun, and I really enjoyed the camraderie of the ladies. I definitely am more comfortable with my posing, having fun and truly excited about being on stage.

I also use these photos to study what I need to work on!! For me, I know exactly my problem area, and have committed to hunker down and train my glutes and hamstrings even harder. I'm being realistic and understand that it may take a few more months (even up to a year) to really develop "muscle maturity" and truly firm up the skin and develop the glutes and hamstrings to top level.
I am definitely happy with where I am at. My next goal is to place 1st or 2nd!

Oh, check out the cute new haircut!! This is the shortest I have ever had it, and I really like it. What do you think, any comments???
As I curtsy out with a smile and a wave!!
