Only 2 weeks to go!!
Okay, we are down to the wire. With only 2 weeks to go, I thought it was time to finally post some pictures (see below). I figured some training pictures would be good, as I am planning on posting all of the before & after photos AFTER I WIN the Orange County Muscle Classic Figure contest.
As some of you may know, I am working on creating a Program for women over 40 who want to achieve their physical and personal goals, and the blueprint for getting there. I have had so many women comment to me (during this transformation process) that I have personally inspired them, and that they would love to know how I was able to accomplish this. What was it that enabled me to take this step - AND stick to it!! This is NOT a personality trait - this is about setting goals and achieving them!! It will include the Up's (way too many to list here), and the Down's (the challenges) and what EXACTLY I did (and am doing) to build upon them and overcome them. Please stay tuned both here and through our Exercise & Nutrition Works - What Works Ezine about this program.
I will keep you posted over the coming days and weeks as the competition gets closer. I am mentally ready, and just working on the fine tuning at this point. I also would like to take a moment to thank several people in advance.
First, to my amazing husband - Lucho - who has been my biggest fan and supporter. I feel like I have this secret weapon with him in my corner - helping with all of my meal challenges, tweaking my meal plan, really working with my supplements, encouraging me, helping my get my tired butt up out of bed at 4:45 a.m every day, kicking me out of the office in the late afternoon for my evening workouts, and for not being able to keep his hands off of me!! He is loving this as much as I am. He says he feels like he is "cheating on my wife, with my wife."
Next, some of you may know that I lost my personal trainer (Mike B.) a few weeks ago (his father had a stroke an he moved back to Buffalo, NY). I have been diligently training on my own since then (one of my challenges)- pushing myself to achieve even more than I thought I could. Throughout this, I have found some incredible support. Everyone at Gold's Gym (RSM) have been encouraging me, and commenting on my progress. It is sooooo appreciated.
Next, I can' thank enough two very special people. They have really stepped in and I feel like they have taken me under their wings - Zhanna Rotar and Tamer El Guindi, managers at the Gold's Gym, RSM. Their expert advice and input has been invaluable. Thank goodness for Tamer's stories - and he has plenty of them. He knows just what to say to make me laugh, and to let me know that I am not alone. Thank you both for being so honest with me, and keeping me at my highest potential!
Cesar Martinez - Thanks to your expert advice, support and guidance. You have been a good friend to Lucho and I. Your input means alot to us.
Kim Oddo - Thanks for your competition coaching and guidance. Those little tweaks to my suit and how to wear them - priceless. I look forward to the backstage support and guidance.
So, I am down to the wire, and I feel READY! Mentally I am where I need to be to win this, and physically I am exactly where I need to be. Oh!! for those of you wanting the update on my stats, here you go:
As of today - Sunday, April 15th, I have weighed in at 115.4 lbs. and am at 13.27% I have:
